about me
I made the decision to train as a psychotherapist at Regent's University, London, after experiencing a number of challenging events in my personal life. I originally come from a visual and performance art background, which I continue to pursue alongside my therapy practice.
I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for a number of years, working with clients seeking therapy for a diverse range of issues and in a variety of settings. As well as in private practice, I have worked at Metro Centre in their targeted LGBTQ+ counselling service, at the Terrence Higgins Trust and at Better Lives (formallly CASA) Drug and Alcohol Service. I also have many years experience of working as a mentor within Disability Arts settings.
I am comfortable working with the broad range of challenges that we can all experience as human beings and that people may want to bring to therapy. Identifying as a disabled, queer woman and an immigrant to the UK, I have a particular interest in the minority experience, gender, sexuality, disability and identity. I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative, as well as kink- and poly aware therapist.
My pronouns are she/her or they/them.
I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (registration no. 2011166268) and adhere to its ethical framework. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (membership no. 304160) and a member of the Society for Existential Analysis.
